The tiny house is now a world-wide phenomenon, and has become a bit of a revolution. More and more people want to simplify and down size their lives and live in less clutter, and the tiny house is the perfect answer to that need. Interestingly enough, urban planners, dealing with the problem of the need for low cost housing and the large number of homeless who live in cities, are finding that the tiny house offers a solution to these problems and that they are relatively cheap to build.
The tiny house pictured here is one such urban dwelling and has take off in a big way. This tiny home is built on stilts which allows for a car port underneath. Many city councils across the globe are giving a lot of consideration to the idea of using such a construction to ease the crisis of the need for low cost housing in cities that are overcrowded, and have a large low-income population.
