Full timing and tiny house living combined? Yes, that’s what is going on in the photo above, where a couple has hitched up their tiny (very tiny) tiny home to their suburban and are driving around the United States and Canada.
The tiny house itself is one of Tumbleweed Tiny House Company’s units. It’s 20 feet long and 8.5 wide. That gives the couple 170 square feet inside their tiny home, but, given the nature of what they’re practically making their “yard,” a lot of room to swing their arms.
The Tumbleweed Tiny House Company’s model you see here is what’s called a “barn raiser home.” It’s laid out in such a way that it’s meant to give a much bigger feel than it’s 170 square foot literal size. See that roof in the photo? There are two lofts up there — one is a sleeping loft, the other is a storage area.
In addition to the lofts on this tiny house, there is a full kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom.
The couple is behind the Wanderlust Tiny House blog. They spent 6 months traveling all around the U.S. and Canada in their tiny house, stopping along the way to enjoy their trip. For more shipping container homes, find them at Building Homes and Living directory.
