The world’s first solar-powered tent powerful enough to power small appliances
Basically, this is a collaboration, or could be. The tent is an Eddie Bauer model, and it’s combined with a battery pack and a solar generator in order to provide energy — enough energy for appliances, which means you could live in a tent with a fair amount of comfort. So for those of you who don’t just want to only rough it all the time, this might be a step in the right direction.
The ingredients used to put together this solar powered tent: 1) Eddie Bauer Katatatic, 2) Goal Zero’s Sherpa battery pack 3) Yeti Solar Generator.
The set-up: The tent has a cover strung over it with solar panels, which feed energy into a generator and power a battery pack (obviously, wiring is also required between the parts). Then that is accessible by a wall socket (just like in a house), so you can plug in lights, phones, computers, fans, and whatever else.
These items can also be used for other camping purposes. For example, you can use the solar panels, generator, and batteries with a regular RV. And of course you could use it at full time.
