A Prefab Home Design with a Great Interior Look

Prefab Home Design with a Great Interior Look

In this prefab house, a modular construction company teamed up with a popular design firm. This series is called the “Cabin Series,” and the team behind it is composed of Method Homes, the prefab home manufacturing company, and Balance Associates, the award-winning design firm.

This prefab house design is of course available for people to buy for their private house, but its also been built in Washington State near Mount Baker as a cabin rental (it goes for $250 per night).

Environmental considerations have been built into the design and construction of this prefab home series: besides the usual benefits of prefabrication (less general building material waste, less disturbance of the building site), Method Homes, working with other manufacturers who “think green,” builds their modular homes to LEED Gold standards.

From the photos, you can see that the interiors use a lot of FSC-certified bamboo wood. They also use recycled paper… for the counter tops … and in-floor heating.

The interior seems to have a quite open, clean, casual, yet at the same time woodsy or cabin-y look to it.
